Download TikTok Video: Easy stove top mac and cheese Ingredients 12 oz pasta I used

Easy stove top mac and cheese 🧀 Ingredients: 12 oz pasta (I used Cavatappi) 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp flour 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp garlic salt 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp Dijon mustard 1 1/2 cups whole milk 1/2 cup heavy cream 8 oz mild cheddar cheese, shredded 8 oz Colby Jack cheese, shredded 🧀 Instructions: 1. In a small bowl, combine all seasonings. 2. In a pan over medium-low heat, melt butter and add half of the seasoning mixture. Stir for about 30 seconds to bloom the spices, then add flour and whisk continuously for 1-2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste. 3. Slowly pour in the milk and heavy cream, whisking continuously until smooth. Add the remaining seasonings and Dijon mustard. Keep the heat on medium-low and stir until the sauce begins to thicken. Avoid boiling. 4. Reduce heat to low, then turn off the heat before gradually adding the shredded cheeses. Stir until completely melted and creamy. 5. Add the cooked pasta and mix until evenly coated. ✨ Tips: Make sure to cook the flour for at least 1 minute to avoid a raw flour taste. Keep the heat gentle throughout the process, especially when adding the dairy. High heat can cause the cheese sauce to separate or become grainy. Always turn off the heat before adding your cheese, and use freshly shredded cheese for the smoothest, creamiest results! 🧀 #macandcheese #nobakerecipe #easyrecipes #dinner #thanksgivingdinner
