Beignets from Princess & the Frog 🐸👸🏾 Soft, fluffy, golden pillows of sweetness — just like Tiana would make 🤎 Made these using my Hauswirt M5 Stand Mixer @Hauswirt ⸻ Ingredients • ½ + ⅓ cup warm whole milk (heat about 45 seconds) • ¼ cup sugar • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast • 1 egg, room temp • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract • 2½ cups bread flour • 1¼ tsp salt • ¼ cup softened unsalted butter Topping • Honey drizzle • Powdered sugar, sifted ⸻ Instructions 1. In a bowl combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy. 2. Add egg and vanilla, whisk until combined. Add bread flour and salt, mix until a shaggy dough forms. Add softened butter and knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. 3. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 1–1½ hours or until doubled in size. Then refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight. 4. Roll dough out on a floured surface to about ½ inch thick. Cut into squares. Cover and let rest 20–30 minutes until slightly puffy. 5. Heat oil to 350°F. Fry beignets in batches until golden brown on both sides. Remove and drain on a rack. 6. Drizzle with honey and generously sift powdered sugar over the top. Serve warm ✨ #hauswirtstandmixer #hauswirtm5 #beignets #princessandthefrog #fyp
