#1 killer. Humidity: Wants 60%+, humidifier, or grouping plants helps. Soil: Chunky, fast-draining aroid mix (bark, perlite, coco coir). Temp: Keeps 65–80°F. Hates cold drafts and sudden swings. Fertilizer: Light balanced feed every 4 weeks during spring/summer growth, skip in winter. Dormancy: Many Alocasia die back or slow down in winter is normal and not a death sentence.
