Beginner plant bestie… here’s your at-home LECA setup in one video 🤍🌱 Full tutorial coming up next! LECA is a great beginner-friendly way to grow plants because it keeps roots oxygenated, predictable, and stable. The setup looks intimidating (still learning, myself), but understanding the setup should hopefully be helpful. Here’s the whole process plainly: • Choose a healthy semi hydro friendly plant and remove every trace of soil from its roots • Rinse clay pebbles until water runs clear • Soak them overnight so they’re fully hydrated • Use a pot without a drainage hole (you need a reservoir) • Add a 1-2 inch base layer of LECA • Keep water level at ¼–⅓ of the pot • Place your plant and fill around the roots • Add hydroponic fertilizer (LECA has no nutrients) • Change water weekly • Flush monthly to remove salt buildup I’ll share updates of my experiments so us newbies can learn and grow together 🌱✨ Check out my Amazon storefront link for supplies!
